it's weird that the npr review for this talks about how "punk" it is because it seems about as authentically punk as Hot Topic selling Ramones tees. the raunchy guitars are really great though and I wish more pop artists used them. not sure how I feel about the album as a whole yet but I'm definitely liking it

eh authenticity and quality are two usually related but different things, and this one has the second which is generally more important than the first
