This album fucking rules. Who would've thought a band with lyrics about slug overlords would kick so much ass? Lyrically funny, instrumentally great. Riffs for DAYS.

Glad you likes it Asmodeus. They're the perfect combination of great musicians who don't take themselves too seriously. But yeah check Gastronomicon too, it's excellent.

I'd say so, a lot of their song titles are plays on well known metal track titles.

it's basically just some less-technical Revocation soundin shit
finding myself agreeing with this. can't really stand the squeaky clean production either

"A Chapter For Transforming Into a Slug" is the jam. Great album. Took more listens than Gastronomicon honestly. Was in the same boat as a lot of people saying they were a bit disappointed, than I just gave it a few...several more listens and now I think its better than Gastronomicon.

"can't really stand the squeaky clean production either"
That's fair, it is uncharacteristically crisp for this kind of music. Personally I think their sound is thick enough by itself that it wouldn't necessarily benefit from grit in the production.
