Fortress has cool, violent lyrics.

Scurrilous is just fun. An example would be "Hair-Trigger", which is the greatest song about smoking cigarettes ever written. Comparing the glow of the tobacco tube to a woman's red locks is up there for me.

The band has said that this is getting a CD release, for anyone wondering. Honestly, though, a one-time $12 fee for 6 songs and a bunch of extras (plus every song has its own accompanying artwork, which is cool) isn't really that bad. I ended up getting the tier 2 package for $25 for the vidoc series.

it'd be worth it if this wasn't such a drop in quality from volition

Out of curiosity, why do you feel this is a drop from Volition? I feel like every track on here is as good or better than anything on Volition.

This album doesn't grab my attention like Volition, Volition demanded my attention with the catchy grooves and the vocal melodies that went well with the grooves.

This instrumentation is more proggy and not as catchy, and the vocals just doesn't grab me, yes there are still theatrics, but it isn't as consistent as it is on Volition.

Pretty much, I can dance to Volition while I can't to this.

I heard the first 3 and don't remember how the first and third sounded like. I don't remember liking Ragged Tooth much, but Tidal was really good. It was on youtube for a while

And Volition is probably my favorite by them. One of the very few albums that actually managed to surpass my old favorite upon release.
