I know. His voice has barely dropped off, and he sounds wiser and more experienced.

On another note, this album delivers. Simon sounds really good considering his age. Seems the years have been really kind to his vocal chords. Wonderful melodies and solid lyrics a plenty. Great review Sowing.

The decent radio station around where I live loves to overplay Wristband, it's okay

Musically wristband is the most bland song here

It has good lyrics though

Street Angel has some of the album's best lyrics, but it does nothing for me musically. It's in one ear and out the other.

I'd say stranger to stranger through the riverbank is the best run of songs on the album. Some great songs on here and some I'm not that into.

No love for Cool Papa Bell or Insomniac's Lullabye Atari?

For me the best stretch is exactly what you said, just extending all the way through the end of the album.

And the beginning is strong too.

Jeez this whole thing is pretty damn consistently great.

Yeah insomniac's lullaby is quite nice. Idk I personally feel like cool papa bell, the werewolf, and wristwatch are all a bit cheesy. He still sounds great for his age, but I prefer the more ballad-like tracks on here. Gotta admit though, it's pretty amusing hearing Paul Simon drop the word motherfucker on cool papa bell haha

I never understood the low score here for this. Or a lot of albums I like, for that matter.
