pretty fucked up that a band like hundredth heard peripheral vision once, changed their entire sound and made a better follow up album in this vein than the actual band did

Good stuff, Ian. To be honest, I didn't like Peripheral Vision, and I don't see too much of a difference here - I might even like this a tad better - but that just goes to show there's something about this band that just doesn't resonate with me and I'm missing out on.

It's pretty hard not to though, like Ian said in the review that album was such a surprise when it dropped, even to Turnover fans. This just feels kinda stagnant compared to the leap from Magnolia to PV.

I think my opinion on this is more in line with the general consensus that it's a great album than the thread consensus which seems to be that it's a huge dissapointment, which I didn't find it to be at all.

Is this album on the same level as peripheral visions? hell no. Is it fun and enjoyable? hell yes. This album is so smooth and produced to perfection. Not their best material, but damn if this album doesn't sound tight.
