This band is doing an "all requests" set at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn in december. could be fun

I would love to see them play the first two EPs again. Either way, band absolutely kills it live

This album is amazing. The production is artistic.
I went out of my way to listen to the highest-quality version of this album available. Found a CD copy at my local record store. I even tweaked my headphone EQ for this.
Truly incredible artistry. It's a shame the production forces people away.

I can't even bring myself to listen to this anymore. The production is absolute shit and I tried to give it a pass for the longest time but it's just unlistenable, even though some of the songs are quite good.

My friends can confirm that I had a very annoying fanboy phase with this band, but the production is too much, even for me.

Listening to the distanced version of Tourniquet or the version of Chlorine & Wine with Gina on youtube compared to the album versions is so infuriating, but there are still some really nice cuts on this album when you can look past how ass it sounds.
Anyway stopping by to say they're teasing new shit for June 20th so that could be neat, they've teased a bit of artwork and a bit of guitar sounds on facebook along with the date, I'm assuming a single and album announcement.

O damn I'm glad I made that post bc now this is my reminder

The Gina harmonies are fantastic, I love what she adds to this band.
The bass actually has some audible punch to it, the production isn't complete washed out ass. I'm excited for this one.

I've yet to listen to this on my headphones but the mix sounds listenable at the very least. Song is good, love the dynamics.

New song is solid enough... not one of their best. I tend to prefer the majority of their singles in the context of their albums anyway.
Production quality is very noticeably increased though, which is great for us. Apparently the cruddy sound of their last couple of albums was a deliberate aesthetic choice... happy they seem over that one.

Well, I always loved their psychedelic side so I'm glad to hear they'll be using a shit ton of pedals on the new record, judging by this song.

New song didn't blow me away but I definitely liked it a lot and it's growing on me too, Seb is going crazy with those Brann Dailor fills, Nick is doing all kinds of chord outlining and stuff, Ginas adding backing harmonies and that crazy solo and then you have John just kinda doing a reliable baroness-type riff and lead vocal. It's a power trio trying to make their mark and prove themselves behind a frontman who's been around the block and found his sound and is mostly content to stick with it. Odd dynamic

damn coming from the new qotsa and jamming this for the first time, Front Towards Enemy already blows all songs on Times New Roman out of the water. That groove is tasty af.
