Telle sounds like such a bargain bin version of Keaton Pierce here, it's so fucking ridiculous.

Telle can actually sing live unlike Keaton though

Telle and the crew did Deceiver justice on their 10 year anniversary tour last year. They sounded great, crowd was into it awesome show ...... until the encore where they refused to play Empire songs and only played their newest material. Absolutely no one cared and it sounded like trash. The energy was completely gone from the room. He then reminded everyone that they would NEVER again hear anything off Deceiver or Empire live. Really crap way to finish a good show.

they've completely retired Deceiver?! jesus christ, if that aint a giant nail in the coffin. No better way to say goodbye to half your fanbase than to swear off playing the only two releases that received positive critical reception.
|

But according to Telle literally everybody loves the new music

I imagine he gets so defensive about it because deep down he knows it's true that a small minority like the newer stuff

I remember seeing these guys with once when Deceiver and Life Cycles were their only albums and they were pretty good, great energy and the crowd loved it. Now I can't imagine them being energetic at all on stage.

"It would be almost tragic for us to fixate on the small number of fans that over like one or two of our albums and haven’t been going to shows the entire time, and don’t have that much of an impact to make."
"We don’t want to be a band that’s just known for breakdowns and for guitar players who can play really crazy parts - we have so much more depth to us musically, vocally and lyrically. For that to be embraced now more than ever is really rewarding for us."
These are actual quote from Telle. Just wow.

"...and for guitar players who can play really crazy parts - we have so much more depth to us musically, vocally and lyrically.
lol he literally just said he wants the band to be known for his own vocals and lyrics instead of the guitarists talents. what a dumb fucking prick

Sure Keaton sucks live, but he still sounds better on record than Telle does here.

Ah yes. So much depth in neutered, electronic-tinged radio rock garbage.

for those curious about one of the most self-absorbed and frankly oblivious interviews I've ever read. quotes I listed above are from this interview.
