I hate Angels and Airwaves. I just wanted some of the guys to get together and put something together worthy of Blink-182. While not as good, it's at least good. Better than Angels and Airwaves.

I saw this in JB Hi-Fi (a music store, for all you non-oz people), and there was 3 different colored covers. Red (or pink), Blue, and Green.
All the songs were exactly the same... so I thought it might be kind of like TOYPAJ from Blink, with the 3 different cd designs.. ah well.

There was no point to this post, just letting the world know ahaha.

i like Tom's voice and Marks, they both sing great in their own respective ways so stop hating on either of them. Blink-182 was great, Boxcar Racer was good, AvA is great, and now plus-44 is excellent.

great review, it was an easy read. i agree with most everything, except as a drummer, i see some differences in Travis' drumming from Blink182. but when the music doesnt change much, there's not much change in drumming you can do.

I am a huge fan of blink 182 and I was upset when they broke up. I don't think that you should be relating this band to Toms band, they have nothing to-do with each other anymore. In my opinion Angels and Airwaves is a way better band then +44, I had to listen to +44's cd a few times to actually get into it and differentiate the songs! When I first heard angels and airwaves it just blew me away, the intros to the songs were amazing and just built the songs up and they made me excited to keep listening to hear what was coming next. Unlike +44 where there song starts and ends within 3.5mins! When I first heard +44's single I was excited because it sounded like blink 182! But then when I got to one of the songs where they sing about slitting their wrists? What’s with that, Hawthorne heights can get away with that but I don’t think Mark can! I do love these two bands and support them because IV been such a big fan of theirs in the past, and will continue to support them!

If I remember correctly, Mark was the one who sang "Adams Song", which dealt with suicide, and it's one of their best songs IMO.
Mark is a terrible singer, great bass player but a terrible singer.
More like he's a great singer but a terrible bass player. This Message Edited On 11.20.06

I've never really thought of him as a good one. He does his duties as a bassist to the bare minimum.

Don't insult us bassists Chan

"No It Isn't" is slowly becoming one of my favorite songs of the year.

I personally loved the album. And I thought you actually wrote a really good review. Just a general comment on all the +44 reviews. Everyone always compares them to Blink, I just don't get why! Yes, we all know, Mark and Travis were both members of Blink (one of my personal favorite bands) but the problem is, if any other band had written this album you wouldn't be comparing them to Blink at all. But at the same rate, I still prefer Blink to +44, but that's just my opinion and that's where people make mistakes writing reviews. They get so caught up with comparing it to Blink -182 that they forget that they weren't trying to be Blink, they were trying to be something different.

Good review though.

Thats a pretty shitty review. Personally i think this is a departure from blink. Fucking angels and airwaves sounded like every song off of the last blink album. Same guitar parts, just slowed down and played more shitty U2 style.

The internet is full of lies and recycled shit.

Hi, welcome to sputnik. See, we have this great theory going around were if you state something in a review and back it up promptly, you're fine. So, for instance, if Chan wants to compare +44 to blink 182 throughout this review accurately, and while still maintaining an accurate description of what the album is to him, then it's a well-written review. :thumb:This Message Edited On 11.26.06

Horrible review!!! This asshole needs to learn how to NOT be bias when it comes to music!!! the review would have been pretty good if he wouldn't have taken a page out of Travis Barkers book and just bagged on Angels and Airwaves the whole time... He needs to be FIRED!!!!

^While we read the wonderful review (I still love the intro, Chan,) you can go ahead and jack off to your AVA CD in peace.

The album is still growing on me, but Baby Come On and No It Isn't are quickly standing out for me.

I might check this out. I like Mark's singing and I have heard some old Blink songs in which I thought the bass was pretty good. Nothing great but it was better than the new stuff.

Awesome review!!! This guy really knows his stuff when it comes to music!!! the review is pretty good!!He needs to be PROMOTED!!!!

You got that right mrdeen!
