that's what I thought, but it's not too bad. Oh! Sweet Nuthin could be far better though, it just feels incredibly weak as a closer, yet isn't that bad of a song.

First three songs are GOAT velvet tunes, imo.

The thing with the Velvets, they were rarely convincing rockers. They would be either too weird for a classic rocker or too generic. Pretty ironic saying that on an album with two of their greatest rockers, but "Head Held High" and "Train Round The Bend" are just prime-time filler. The first is just your typical rocker minus the identity of the band, while the latter has a great riff with a unique tone that doesn't go beyond that as a whole.

The biggest letdown for me was the ballads, however. They are just...pleasantly moody, I guess. Not very gripping emotionally, not very strong melodically, certainly not the kind of balladry the Velvet has been making in the past. Except "New Age". That one's excellent

Still a good album just not what I want when I listen to them

I usually jam a few songs and switch to the s/t or "and nico"

Bought the fully loaded edition for $5.99 at the record store. Knew it was too good to be true when I found out the second disc was missing. It was used so I shoulda known better but the regular edition was $11.99 and the packaging for this is awesome so I'm not complaining a whole lot

This could be some other band's best album, but it's below par for the Velvets. Still has some damn good songs though.
