hybrid theory was an awesome album because it had something we hadnt heard in a long time and that is awesome guitar bass (almost audible) drums turn tables and good vocals. so when meteora came up people were expecting a lot. needless to say it wasnt as good as what people wanted. meteora had way too much electronic crap which isnt that good. hopefully their next album will be more like hybrid theory

i give this album 368 / 5

its just SO good, i remember when i bought it i had to go buy another 3 copies and shrinkwrap them because its obvious linkin park will be remember in decades to come for their deep lyrics and technical riffs and guitar solos.
chesters voice really inspired me to record my cat coughing hairballs, they are both just such talented noise makers

I like how repititive Linkin Park are, you always know what you are going to get you know.

-Cliche power chord riff
-Chester 'singing' angsty teenage crap
-Chorus : Chester screaming
-Possible interlude : Other guy rapping about angsty teenage crap
-Chester finishes off the song with deepness
-A DJ scratch
-End Song

I like LP. They are extremely good at what they do. They know how to market their product. They have an interesting sound (find one more band that has the same sounds). Like all good nu-metal bands, they changed the formula just a bit and found a niche. How else would they have been around for this long? There have been many other nu-metal bands with no lasting power because they were just nu-metal.

I can SORT of understand people who like LP. I mean, we all like at least one or two bands that aren't very good. But ANYONE who thinks they sound good live is just insane. Even my two die-hard LP fan friends admit that they absolutely SUCK on that live DVD.

Anyway, just about every sarcastic post in this thrad has been hilarious. I especially like the recording your cat coughing up hairball's one... that was really funny.

Someone else also said that a band would come along and save us from this crap? I am DEARLY hoping so. How on earth does a band like LP get so big? I mean, stupid thirteen year-olds are one thing, but STILL. Either way, we need deliverance.

I am waiting for the saviour of music...

Oh, and by the way, decent review. Horrible album.

...I'm not nearly as a big a fan of them as I was a year or two ago, and I saw them live this past summer, and I thought they put on a great show. I haven't seen said DVD, so I can't comment, but when they came here, they rocked it pretty hard (as hard as they can, I suppose).

I wouldn't call Meteora "horrible" so much as "disappointing". They have a few good numbers on here, and the rest are listenable, but it's sad, because as of this point, I still believe they have another Hybrid Theory in them, and they just didn't deliver it with this album.

Well, to not be an idiot I won't comment on the live show you saw--I didn't see it after all. But the live DVD... *shudders*

It's you who is the idiot, it was so obvious that he was employing sarcasm, hence my appreciative post a few up.

LOL!...Actually i think its a little less complicated than that...
-DJ ****
-verse
-chorus
-verse
-chorus
-"breakdown"(if you called it that)
-end ****ty song with same incessant techno that is played from start to finish...Thats basicly every single track on meteora summed up in 7 groups...

I got this album, and I was pretty impressed. But I got this before I got hybrid theory, as I hadn't really bothered to listen to linkin park that much. But I agree with most people, hybrid theory is a much better album.

Wow Dargon you are so retarded and lack a sense of humor.

OK then, I liked the album, but like everyone said, their previous work beats it, I do like how they've structurally evolved though, and the drumming in session is great imo.

Linkin Park is terrible. They don't belong in the metal section, take them elsewhere please.
