No Marko, you are not reading properly. "Heard of" & "heard" are 2 separate things! Haha.

And you said one of the reasons why I keep away from iPods & Zunes; The software. I like these things simple. Drag & drop simple even.

Dude, things that Apple make are as Drag and Drop as they get... almost to a point of concern.

no you weren't reading. Zune is drag 'n' drop as well. Its just when I had to update the new firmware it was so fucking annoying all these steps and shit. Other than that everything is "kosher".

That line you said reminds me of 'White Men Can't Jump'

Snipes: Look man, you can listen to Jimi but you can't hear him. There's a difference man. Just because you're listening to him doesn't mean you're hearing him.

It just reminded me of that great scene lol.

Yeah, I can handle iRiver Dougie. Competitively priced too.

But everything goes through iTunes from what I have been told Caleb. F**k that. I don't want to be synching or any crap like that. The one I have now, I just plug in, an explorer folder pops up immediately & then I drag n drop. That's it.

Ditto for you and your Zune Marko. Update? I don't want to be updating anything. See the only steps I want to do above. Got it? Good.

Marko, I know what review can get you into the Sputnik upper echelon dude; The White Men Can't Jump soundtrack. Do it, do it, do it.

So whats with the itunes hate? Other than updating onve a month (I call it the iTunes menstrural cycle) it is great - much better than any Sony software of windows media player.

Yeah i am an iTunes fan.

I had an iRiver Davey, 3 actually, and they just kept having techinical glitches, so they kept giving me iRivers until I finally conformed to the iPod and it has not let me down for a year now.

But Ross, I don't use any Sony software, and media player is also unnecessary. Drag & drop... That's literally it. That's all I want it to be. I don't want my mp3 player to have a period & get moody.

Dougie, luckily I've yet to own an iRiver, but have heard they're ok. Oh well, you learn something every day.

Arghhhh, I hate that word: Glitch. I hear it too many times at work. Haha.

Well, I got the Creative one I am using now because it rated tops in a magazine (Choice Mag from memory). And yes, iPod was included. But when the iPod is more expensive, less friendly to use & doesn't have radio, then I didn't expect it to win out anyway.

Whats an iRiver?

And I still believe iTunes is excellent, no-one can convince me otherwise.

Davey: Creatives break a lot. Mine literally fell to pieces. It was like it had lepper or some shit. First i lost the little piece that covers the battery socket, then the one that covered the USB socket, and then the latch broke so that the back kept having to be reattached to the front. OK; I'm a klutz, but still...

Now I have a Zipy, which is supposed to be much worse than Creative, but so far it only broke once (the "forward" button jammed from so much use ). it currently has the same problem, but i'm holding out on fixing it because last time it took over a month (the repair center is in Spain). i'm using "hold" to prevent the player from skipping to the next track.

re: "Billy Talent II". It's currently in my mp3 player . When I downloaded it, it was marked as just "Billy Talent". I thought it might be the first, and I was going to complement your review with mine. But it's actually "II", so maybe we'll have an Alerion situation on our hands .

oh well, so much better, since Red Flag is the best song I've heard so far from these guys (and one of the best of this style, period).

review coming soon. i have a couple planned before it, and as someone said, "teaching, masters degree and driver's license before Sputnik" :P maybe next week or the one after that.

certainly not on June 3rd, because that day is for WATCHING AC/DC LIVE!!!!!!! I'm psyched, because the last time they were over here I was 10, and my Dad wouldn't take me so this is perhaps my last chance to watch Angus do his thing. Something tells me they won't last much longer...

When I hear Highway to Hell played live, I'll be able to die a happy man.

re: Star Trek, I'm also going to watch it. I'll let you guys know afterwards.

Oh, and my Zipy is totally drag and drop. and it has minimal features - not even a folder system like the Creative has. you can copy/paste the folder into it, but when you turn it on, it just plays every song in succession. you have to figure out where each album ends yourself...

Ross, an iRiver is another totally separate brand... Which obviously isn't for sale in England... Just like this Zipy brand is not available down under (from what I know). That sounds really good Pedro. It would have to be strong for you I'm guessing as it sounds like you've physically abused your Creative. The little rubber knob thingy covering the usb socket has also gone on mine (coz I kept playing with it), but I don't care really as the player hasn't suffered due to its absence.

Anyway, back to the reviewed album, great to hear you're liking it. Probably lay off on the review for now anyway, since I am the 2nd person to review it in a week or so.

Oh and have heaps of fun at the Accer Daccer concert. That will be huge. They aren't coming home until next February believe it or not. I won't be here in early June, so I expect to see some kind of list or journal about your experience when I get back in July.
