Damn, I should check this out. Good starting place?
The ending of the album sounds great, love it when bands do goofy things like that, nuffin' like stirring up your fans!

Croc it's the only starting place, theyve got the Persona EP which is much more Nu Metalish in sound. Themata is waaaay better, get it asap.

not long to go!!

Lol found this band off some random youtube vid.
Pretty sick rock band, listened to Themata. Guitaring is a lot more complex then most bands that i've heard in the modern rock scene.
Possible prog rock maybe?

It IS prog rock.

It has some proggy moments, but it's hardly groundbreaking. From what I've heard, their new album will far more progressive.

...and what would it be that you have heard?

Ive heard four or five of the new songs, three of them are 7+ minutes i think. Also, a lot more spacey/atmospheric and yeah if possible, the guitar work has gotten better.
Songs ive heard are called:
Deadman, New Day, Pearogram, Goliath and Set Fire to the Hive.
|
| |
Deadman is really quite progressive. That's all I've heard.
|
| |
Wooh, there new album coming out is even more techy?
Sweet, that's gonna be tight.
Anyone have reccomendations of other prog rock bands 'cuz I normally don't listen to prog rock. Mostly progtech death.

The live recordings don't do them justice, I look forward to the studio album. Admittedly I've only heard Deadman, but it DID kinda bore me a little, I kept switching off. Really long songs just can't hold my attention very well. So I'm worried about this album a little now.

I see where you are coming from, some prog can be extremely boring. Though Karnivool im sure will be able to make an exception
