I don't see the hate for that song, not the best on the album but it's decent.

I have no real problem with Daron's voice, its his songwriting that kills me. You can tell which songs are his lousy effort (Lonely Day) and which are Serj's (masterpieces like Vincinity). Their first album was written lyrically almost entirely by Serj, and it is by far the best for that. Serj should still write everything, Daron can just sing along

I really think Daron's singing in "Lonely Day" isn't so bad. I really wish Serj would've done it and i pray to god Daron does some research and realizes how unwanted his voice is, but altogether, i dont thing the vocals in "Lonely Day" are horrible.

And like Thor, ill do what my fave songs are and why:

Kill Rock N' Roll - The harmonization on the chorus is kick a--.
Tentative - I absolutely love Serj's vocals in the chorus and the verses.
Vicinity of Obscenity - The classic SOAD. Random and incredibly genius. Plus no Daron (with a few exceptions)
Soldier Side - I love the line

"They were crying when their sons left.
God is wearing black.
He's gone so far to find a hope,
He's never coming back."

Those lyrics are honestly amazing and the way they are delivered, incredible.

Daron Malakian actually is the biggest asshole when it comes to lead vocals, with the exception of "Lost In Hollywood".

Daron's only good as a background vocalist most of the time.

Now we're just left with one question... what might the other single on Hypnotize be?

"Vicinity of Obscenity" sounds so commercial to be the next single, but I'll pick "Soldier Side" because it holds the best lyrics.

EDIT: Another possibility might be "Dreaming", even though the words are kind of confusing. This Message Edited On 11.25.05

I Think Daron is an awsome musician and I have no problem with his voice in fact i love his voice. Serj is still definetly a better vocalist though and yes I think he should have sang more on both of the new albums.

No, terracotta is the colour of clay, a shade of brown. I think when System of a Down mean "terracotta pie", they mean apple pie, beacuse it's brown everywhere.
