DL'd this and Attention Please; just listened to the latter... 3/5. Wata's vocals kinda ruin the album imo.
I mean, the songs themselves weren't bad, and i dug the instrumentation and production. It might be a grower, but as it stands, i feel disappointed with it.

This one is excellent btw. Out of the Boris albums i've heard so far, i'd say this one is second only to Pink.

really good album

This album seems like a perfect mix of everything they've done beforehand; sludge, j-pop, stoner rock, drone, alternative, noise and post-rock. Fantastic album that is very diverse but somehow extremely cohesive.
People expecting another stoner rock album in the vein of the original HR were probably dissapointed.. but why? Have Boris ever done anything we expected them to? Not really. So is this a suprise? Not really.
Imo, this might just be their best album to date. I know that may be a rushed statement, but I feel confident I'll feel this way in 2 months, still. It's about on par with Amplifier Worship which I consider their opus.
