Oh Viper, The Pious Bird of Good Omen is a great compilation too, completely forgot about that one for some reason. I'm rec'ing Mr. Wonderful last out of the original Fleetwood Mac albums because of its obvious flaws. You'd prob still dig it though, it does have some great tracks like Love That Burns.

English Rose is an alternate version of The Pious Bird of Good Omen but isn't as good. The Vaudeville Years is a a great comp, the full length version of Underway on that album is phenomenal.

This album is so good it almost makes me wish the original incarnation of this band was the only one. Almost.

Same. Then Play On is even better though.

Yeah, as much as I love Green's Mac, Rumours is pop rock perfection.

I prefer the Green-era by quite some way but I can't deny that Rumours is a great, well-crafted pop rock album.

Rumors, the self-titled, and Tusk are all the main reasons why I said I "almost" wish this was the only incarnation of Mac.

The Chain is amazing.

Yeah, The Chain is one of the best songs ever. Also, this is my second favorite Fleetwood Mac album to Rumours; Then Play On and the self-titled tie for third

Then Play On is definitely better than this imo, although this is still some of my favourite blues. Green was at the top of his game on Then Play On plus it had hardly any contributions from Jeremy Spencer who was always the weak link in the original Fleetwood Mac. Having said that Spencer does perform fairly well on here but Kirwan was a far better partner for Green.
