Just wanted to point out:
A shocker of an album
In Australia, a "shocker" is something terrible - ie "That game was a shocker!"
|
| |
I could probably find a better word to put there.
|
| |
It's also a sexual move
|
| |
Haha, oh gosh. Changed it.

Great review Matt. Not sure about this band in the past but you've persuaded me to give it a cheeky listen
|
| |
Awesome, that's my goal!
|
| |
Then give yourself a pat on the back good sir
|
| |
Congrats Matthew!

Bumped up my rating a bit after letting this grow on me and hearing the bonus tracks. Amy's vocals are really damn good here, I love "The Change".

Cool, I got people to listen to this.
|

Boy, what a shocker of a review! ;)

So I got to interview Amy on Thursday. That was interesting.
|
| |
how'd you get that gig atavan?
|

I don't think a lot of people here realize(or want to admit) how good this album is.
Deftones put out Diamond Eyes and people fall over themselves here to 4.5/5 it. Opeth takes a dump and it's praised for it's color and diversity.
Evanescence puts out a great new album that jams and people here are like: Hmmm. Not good enough. It's missing something. This isn't Fallen II. Aren't I supposed to dislike this band?

I'm denying amy and myself
FOR SHAME
|
| |
It's not that great, more of a low 3.5 and a huge guilty pleasure, for myself.

If it sounds good to me, I listen to it. This album sounds good. I really like Amy's voice in this.
This band was never goth to me, or original. This band was a pop-rock band from the beginning, and this album is a pop-rock album in spades. There is nothing missing here. It is what it is.
