oooh. Might still just get the cd version and then get that if/when it does come out if it's cheap enough

this guy or someone close to him is a genius though.
1. release badass mixtape for free, remain (mostly) anonymous
2. hipsters everywhere swoon and hype train gears up
3. release two more mixtapes and cement status as most exciting artist ever; dominate end-of year lists
4. be seen with drake a lot, reach wider audiences who caught some of that hype
5. release much more radio-friendly masters of mixtapes while (presumably) preparing for legit debut record.
6. release debut, take over the world, fuck bitches, get money

They took out the Aaliyah sample intro to What You Need, man. How could they not have cleared one sample?

As for the new songs, the perspective of the songwriting doesn't sound like The Weeknd at all. The ambiguity of the girls and the situations along with Abel's forced apathy were what really made the character. The beats are decent enough, but they don't fit, especially not at the end of the tapes like that.

I loved the mixtapes so much, but I don't think I can give this a rating.

Man, Lewis, just cutting one hell of a gaping hole in the mixed reception of this release.

I think they're not as dirty sounding; the melancholy, dark wintery tone still prevails. I'm not a pitchforkmedia.com lover, but I like the review the have on this release. Check it out.

Good release, worth the $13.99 - To all the haters - you still have the EPs(mp3s) - Or do you just have two sets of data of the same trilogy?

Minus.

Alright so, I finally made the changes to this review that I promised I was going to make. I think I definitely improved the review by a lot. It now discusses a few more things I forgot to mention, and some things I couldn't find the right words for at first but now can.
