I can definitely understand the lyrics thing I personally like them but I generally like things other people might find pretentious or wordy or whatever. When it comes to other people doing it better thing idk I've just always felt emo/screamo has been about being caught in the moment and whatever happens, happens. As far as the delivery being annoying or shitty I get that but it just sounds more human to me I guess.

That's the problem I have with them, they don't sound human, they sound like they're trying way too hard to sound emotional. None of it feels natural, it all feels pretentious and I struggle to find any meaning.
