reading this made me lol for some reason. Does seem ridiculous written out like that. I find her voice extremely enticing, and I suppose if someone didn't then they wouldn't get anything else out of her music since it's quite minimalistic.

idk, i find it very annoying and it's such a boring, simple hook. if by minimalist you mean she depends on her voice to carry her, then yah, i probably wouldn't like this very much

I feel like people over-react when something is labelled as "pop." I honestly don't think there would be 1.5s and "I fucking hate this"'s if it wasn't some sweet little girl making radio pop. Like, if you don't like a hyped punk album that sputnik loves (or soemthing) you give it a 3 and feel bad about going against the grain. but if you don't like a pop album, it's fair to give it a 1 cause "popular music is shitty grrrr!"

like i knew she had promise but i didn't think she had a song like 'Ribs' or 'Buzzcut' in her yet (although because i grew up in the same 'city' (suburban sprawl) as her i feel like i get the irony and yearning of where she's coming from more than most, though not in an arrogant way)
