minus the production, Fallujah has stronger writing skills.

Tech death has no songwriting. Find me one tech song that is an actual song and memorable. Props for being so good with your instruments but you don't sound particularly memorable.
Also is must a thing where bands in this genre seek out lifeless production that's sterile.

Tech-death can certainly make memorable songs. I could distinguish the tracks here well and there are bands that construct captivating tracks that can stand by themselves.

The production here isn't that big of a bother for me personally. If tech-death just isn't your thing, then there's little reason to like this.

How very diplomatic of u.

JK, I just haven't been able to listen to this modern tech death sound in years. Every time I revisit it I remember why I tend not to like it.

Maybe you'd like First Fragment. Not as clean and with a more ferocious sound and shredding riffs for days. They've got a new album set for this year too. They're pretty different from TZP.

Hard for me to judge what you'd like seeing as you only have 12 ratings :p

The Ritual Aura is extremely memorable to me, as well as Blade of Horus.

This album sounds like what I'm sure most people expected the Faceless' third record to sound like. Sort of a backhanded compliment because these guys ape the Faceless' style to an obscene degree, though they do it well.
