"thats the most redudant thing ive read , as if people who dont like rap would even begin to grasp Aesop jeez, im not saying that in a backpacker way, is just how the hell would they even come across him"
I got into Aesop before I really listened to rap and I know other people who largely dislike rap except for like Wu-Tang, MF Doom, and Aesop.

Also Aesop is far from being some kind of anomaly that only rap scholars can comprehend. His writing boils down to really basic shit hiding behind big boy words and metaphor. And this is coming from someone who likes his music.

As a first time listener of Aesop I gotta say this definitely has something to it, I like it, but is it amazing? I don't see that

He has a really great use of language...one of the best, but yes his lyrics aren't really affecting particularly.

like every other rapper ever except the big words and metaphor part. its all basic shit. this album is supremely personal and like every other rapper ever who's written a personal album, it's basic shit but it's not basic shit to him which is the point.

I haven't listened to a single album by Aes, but damn, I never knew he had such devoted people who don't like him.
This album looks kinda interesting, saw a few people becoming fans of his after listening to this, which is kinda weird for a record this far into his discography. Maybe I'll take a listen. Maybe not.
