I don't think so honestly. Everything about this I should like; the vocal tone, the guitar tone and arrangements are all great, just something's throwing me off at the moment and I don't know what. I'm thinking it's the production but I'm not sure.

So far I don't like this release as much as their past couple, but I feel like it could grow

How is everyone missing the clear Weakerthans influence in Wedding Singer, among others from Jake's half? He might not have the greatest voice, but what he does with Hiding is beautiful.
On another note, I guess I'll be the first to show Apple Cider, I Don't Mind some love.

eh idk I think that's the worst song on the album...its just underwhelming. Hiding is beautiful though agreed

I really want to 5 this and i may end up doing so in the coming months, but I'm just not clicking with Coding These to Lukens and What If... for some reason

whaaat those are both killer songs! the beginning to What If... is a bit sloppy but the chorus is pretty fun to sing along to. and Coding These to Lukens is a complete jam by the end of the song if you let it be. short but packs the most punch honestly.

Gotta be honest, this really hasn't grown on me at all and its not near as catchy as their last two releases, which is why I grew to love them so much. Really hoping it catches on for me somehow

Does this suck as much as the last one?
|

At its core it's still the same band just with more mature and darker lyrics, and minus all the social media references. And more indie rock oriented instrumentation than pop punk
