Even Though I don't totally agree, good review. I think i'll let this settle, it might come up to a 4.5

Just one thing, Psalm 22 was written by David, not Jesus.

"It might be a bad comparison, but I think Francis and the Lights' new album is better than this. Justin Vernon's amazing on Friends."

I agree with you. This is still awesome, circle is a contender for song of the year for me.

Might give it a try then but I have a feeling it's not going to be my cup of tea

Not to get your hopes up, and when I say this I'm certainly not implying that this is as good, nor that it necessarily had the same goals or scope, but if you can appreciate some elements of Kid A, such as the contrast between the artificial cold electronic aspects with the natural and uplifting guitars and other instruments, then I think there is something in this that could interest you

"I've heard songs from both other albums before so I already have a sense of the artistic trajectory, plus I figured it'd be interesting to hear this without the bias of the first two."

Personally I think its interesting that he's using something so frustratingly overused in modern pop music as a tool to smooth out singing imperfections as unconventionally as he does; he isn't using it to correct imperfections but instead makes it instrument in its own right in some places (like Creek) and uses it to introduce a pretty interesting clash between artificial sounding vox and a fairly emotional delivery buried beneath it.

There's honestly not that much autotune on this, and when it is used, it is very tasteful. Everything else is a vocoder
