*ahem* no.
Relapse Records released a special promo cd of the new album with "Panasonic Youth" and "Baby's First Coffin" on it.
It also had "Blood & Thunder" by Mastodon and "Dead Martyr" by The End.
I should know, I was given 35 of the cd's to give out at a gig.
And I did it at Million Dead where there also happened to be another person doing the same thing as me, however, I gave one of my cd's to Julia, Million Dead's bassist, therefore making me tres cooler.
Streetwise eh? I made a stand at local music stores. I also get free tickets to the San Francisco DEP show. Take that lunchbox.

That was a special promo CD with two tracks. I reviewed the entire album, which is what "it" was in my post.
Seriously, what were you thinking with that post?
no you benny, I know you reviewed the whole album.
You said that quote in reply to someone who said "I've heard 'Panasonic Youth' and 'Baby's First Coffin'" and you said "The album was released today you couldn'y of heard it."
And I was saying that there was a promo cd released with those two tracks on, and thats how they heard those two tracks. I wasn't having any sort of dig at you or claiming you werent reviewing the whole album or what ever the hell you thought.

He was just making the point that it was because it was released that day that I hadn't heard the whole thing (and so that he had bought and reviewed it on it's first day out), not saying that I couldn't have heard it. Anyway, ironically enough, that promo CD wasn't where I heard them.

That would be my first time hearing "Panasonic Youth", and I heard "Coffin" way before that.
The video for "Panasonic Youth" is available at www.suspendedinlight.com, by the way.

Ya, "Baby's New Coffin" was on the Underworld Soundtrack.
|
| |
I just bought this album yesterday and I love it! 5/5
|

Even though their new singer is a bit of a Patton-wannabe...I enjoyed the material I've heard from this record. I think I'll buy it soon.
|
| |
I couldn't really handle "Calculating Infinity", because I'm weak.
I like this album though, it's more accessible. The songs are more... song-like.
And holy crap, he really mimics Patton on "Phone Home". He does it fairly well though.

I want this.

This is indeed a good album. The bonus DVD is nice.. Although the sound on the live vids are horrible
Haha.....you sound EXACTLY like some friends of mine. Don't live in the Luton area, do you?
Dude, do you mean Luton in Bedfordshire? If so, how weird, that's where I live.
|

God, England has the best names. If I lived in a place with a name like Bedfordshire.... man, that would rock.

^...You understand nothing
|

This album is weird (for DEP)
Unretrofied is super catchy. It's like a radio song almost. The best part is though, it's still a good song.
|
| |
"Unretrofied" is probably the worst song. If you want a good semi-catchy but weird one, get "Setting Fire To Sleeping Giants" instead.
|
| |
I will. Unretrofied gets really boring.

Good review, I have Baby's First Coffin on a sampler and I'll give it a few listens.

You're a good man, Toozey, good man.
