I listened to this again today for the first time in a while, and I have to say, Part 3 sounds a lot better on Modal Soul. Furthermore, the production on the vocals could've been a bit better on this overall.

This is an amazing album but in all seriousness the best thing about it is the title 'Luv(sic)' - that is actually really clever.

Doing a marathon of Nujabes' discog with the whole Luv (sic) series as a bonus in honor of the 10th anniversary of Jun's passing, and I still can't even get past the opening horn notes of Part 2 without being overwhelmed by feels.

It's hard to tell since the Sput charts don't include compilation albums, but I've never seen an album with more than just a few votes with a higher avg.

"I must tell you that you lived beautifully"
This is so fucking good. I do think Parts 1 & 6 are a step down, but the Uyama Hiroto remix fixes 6 up. Not super keen on 1's beat, but otherwise this is absolute perfection.

Good bump. I was not even aware this song series had its own official release outside the albums they originally featured on.

I think half of them weren't even "featured" on albums as they were released posthumously? I want to say #3 was the last one to make it on an album (Modal Soul), but don't quote me on that. But yeah, whenever they discovered Part 6 (on his phone or something), they decided to release the hexology posthumously (with all of the remixes I just ignore, minus the Uyama Hiroto remix for the finale).
2010 was a bad year for Japanese greats, between Nujabes' and Satoshi Kon's untimely deaths.

Still one of my favorite things ever. Think 1 might have my favorite rap (but my least favorite beat lol), and 2 & 3 feel the most complete. But 4 & 5 are just exactly my vibe. So glad this exists, even though it makes me sad that I'm unable to find something similar to this (other Nujabes tracks and Shing02 tracks don't exactly scratch the same itch)
