as much as I still love this album, I’ll check it out Tundra

also, I still have yet to get overly tired of this thing, it’s still a good listen for me... may drop eventually but for now, still love it

The guy's vocals are average, his rap chops are average, every song is a slow ballad after Jumpsuit and Levitate, he's trying to convey emotion in his voice but it never grabs me

reposted without that just for u, smile

Album starts so promisingly but really falls off. Levitate reminds me of Blue Lines era Massive Attack... a whole album like the first two tracks and this could’ve been like a 4.5

This really took time to sink in for me but it really is their best.

it's a lot better live but yeah this has nothing on Blurryface or Vessel

legend, cut my lip and bandito are the only ones that drag this down a bit for me. I find every other song on this tight. Tyler's bass playing on this took a large scale jump in the right direction on this and just in general the musicianship is much tighter here than on previous releases.

idk this doesn't have the pop hooks, genre-hopping and dynamics of the past records, with Jumpsuit as the exception that proves the rule

"The Hype" and "My Blood" have massive hooks though

There are tons of catchy moments and hooks here though, they just aren't as immediate. I think the tricky thing about this for me on first couple listens was that it's not immediate but the payoff is much better long term on this. I also think the fact that it doesn't genre hop makes this a more cohesive record.

this might be better but i can't tell, the band meant too much to me at a certain point and now hearing any of their stuff is more heartbreaking and depressing than anything

By far the best (and only good) Twenty One Pilots album.

name dropping half the things that made this band terrible, this might be the record that converts me

I hate that song "stressed out". Previous album was ok. This was good on first listen and got better and better. Dunno how I'd rate it now. It's a great listen though.
