Idk, I like his evolution starting with Kentucky but i I definitely feel like he could make a much more fine tuned version of his older material which, tbh, if he does, it will rule incredibly hard. It will smash taint and bash bollocks.

I really dug the amateurish simplicity of the s/t. It's clunky but it feels more genuine and also kvlt that way

Listened to this album again and it has some parts where you're like yeah this is pretty cool and then you remember how awful the production is and how absurdly awful the clean vocals are

Austin Lunn has great clean vocals bro

They're not technically proficient by any metric but their earnest. The singing on The Embers at Dawn straight guts my heart man

both new albums are recorded and off to mixing, also austin posted a gofundme for his friend who was hurt in a hit-and-run (he played in Hawkbill along with some Seidr guys). He's doing a 75-min bm album that's supposed to sound like the older stuff, and an acoustic americana album. Hopefully they're out before the end of the year.

new Waldgefluster EP is looking promising. The Pit featuring Panopticon is an atmospheric treat

I could be wrong, but as far as I know Panopticon is not featured on that track - instead, it's a cover of a Panopticon song (and very good). The upcoming Waldgefluster EP includes one new song, one reworking of an old song, and two covers (The Pit by Panopticon, and Black Flies by Ben Howard). Anyways, it's nice stuff and I'll be reviewing it next week.

oh hmmm I've never heard the split they did with Aerial Ruin so I had no idea. doesn't help when apple music mislabels it though lol. now I'm gonna have to catch up so I can compare both versions ;)

I'll be looking forward to your review too
