Fuck, I can't digest guttural vocals anymore. I want to love this but it feels as if this particular type of music is not for me anymore. Hope I can fix that, because this is unquestionably excellent.

Yeah, it's they're most cohesive album I think. Not that the others weren't but you really get the storytelling feel here.

Been listening to this in rotation with their other albums and I have no idea which one I think is best now. Band is absurdly consistent.

I felt the same when looping their stuff, despite having a soft spot for Infrared Horizon.

When all is said and done I still might like their debut most, such a bunch of memorable tracks & hooks. But this is likely their most accomplished piece both technically and as to songwriting.

I suppose I need to hear what all the hub-bub is about. Not gonna lie - tech death really isn’t my thing. I’ve messed around with Ulcerate some so I will give this a try. Excellent review NoTrap - glad you are back and feeling better.

Thanks, buddy. Hopefully the lungs recover during my weekend in the country. If you love Gorguts there's something here for you.

Im really warming up to this release. This is not normally my style of music but when the big boys release this sort of stuff I pay attention (Ulcertate etc). I really can't deal with the vocals though, they seem muffled and too gurgly, but again what the hell do I know about this style of music all that much

the vocals are def deeper in the mix than the last two records.
also, for the people who “don’t get” the vocals, here’s my advice: use the album as background music for something and it’ll click and become tolerable to your ears MUCH faster.
