Just bumped their first EP and Split with Citizen…. God damn their old stuff was so good

they weren't very good when they tried to be pop punk. they briefly hit gold with the PV sound but I still prefer this disco-pop sound over the pop punk stuff

Judging by the progression of this band I assume they: Had pretty hard break ups, channeled them through music, it wasn't enough, they started doing drugs, now they're just chillin, "vibing" and dropping some acid... Musically this is not that bad but it's just not the next step from Peripheral Vision fans have been expecting for some time haha. I like the fact they are experimenting with their music but I hope once they are done with The Doors, Pink Floyd and LSD, they come back to their element.

yeah I'm sure there's some truth to that, but also, PV itself has lyrical references to acid so I would guess the psych drug usage began before this iteration of the band

PV was actually the turning point of Turnover, their pop punk era was golden.
They experimented a lot but they lost their vibe in Altogether and especially with this new one.

Weird, I saw them about a year ago and they were a blast. Crowd energy was great too.

bumping this to say i really enjoy what they did with this one.
i just wish they exchanged Pleasures Galore with something else. that song has no business being 5 minutes long

At first I didn’t like good nature too much, but the album after that and now this steaming pile of dreamy doodoo, I realized I truly took it for granted. It’s cool that they’re happy and smoke weed every day, but there’s already a thousand other bands that do this style better.

Peripheral Vision was a hallmark record of my adolescence. Call me selfish, but like many others, I've been waiting for Peripheral Vision 2.
I did not like Good Nature, but I did vibe to Altogether. Out of pity or desperation or what exactly, I can't tell you. I really wanted to hear the elements of Peripheral Vision that I connected so deeply to.
This is categorically bad. Like, really fucking bad. These guys captured lightning in a bottle and then said, "Nah. Let's try to make the most boring fucking music possible."

Absolute truth. At this point I'm just curious if they'll manage to make the next record even worse.
