With all the stuff around AI right now I was wondering if it existed a way to shape the sound of an album.

I'd like to ask an AI to make Genexus or Monolith sound more like Demanufacture which has a quite different sound from other FF albums.

I agree with your disgust Flugmorph. AI stuff make me feel deeply sad. To me, what AI removes from a piece of work is love.

Talent is one thing, beauty, artistry etc... is great, and AI is impressive on that level, but as soon as it's made by an AI, there's no meaning behind it anymore. So, I'm depressed by AI.

That being said, I didn't consider changing the sound of an album to make it sound like a previous album of the same band would register in the same way as "auto-generated AI music".



But if you want to despise me for this, you can. The war against AI has to happen.



Still, AI depresses me. For example, I played a video game called Steamworld Heist recently and I found myself admiring the number of nice drawings that were made for the guns available, until it made me wonder whether these had been generated by an AI. It just killed my appreciation and I felt sad.

I don't despise you, don't be silly. AI generated content just has no value and meaning to me beyond the occasional hihi haha look at this fucked up piece of generated approximation of art.

Like even if an AI would be able to create the perfect Powershifter skeleton song in the style and production of Demanufacture it wouldn't enlist a reaction from me beyond "huh, neat" before I move on because I had absolutely no emotional reaction to it because the element that makes music worth listening to to me is the expression of a human soul which i can relate to on some fundamental reptilian brain level.
