I did not mean the actual band members were satanic. I meant their lyrical themes, which they are to an extent.



It shocked me that people would scream about satan and pentagrams and mass sacrifice and the lot (over exaggeration).



Now I see it as more of a gimmick.

I've started listening to more of their stuff. Liked this album, quite good. At The Gates of Midian is one hella intro track. Tortured Soul Asylum is my favorite track here, good stuff.

Well they definitely lost some of the great atmosphere they had on the first 4 albums and this is kind of when Dani's vocals started to go downhill a little bit, but I still love it. This is probably their darkest album IMO.

Cthulhu Dawn is one of my favourite CoF songs tho, I'm gonna give all their albums another listen soon and work out ratings and stuff.

You know what you're right lol. I wouldn't say they're at their peak here, but he could still get the really high pitch scream. They started to go downhill on Damnation. I still love his voice now and I still think he's a really unique vocalist, but I wish he could still do the high pitched banshee screams like he could on albums like Dusk and Cruelty.

Yeah it's with Damnation the vocals started to get not so good. I mean, i honestly just think it's the rough around the edges production that made it so good, and with Damnation the production was flawless, which ironically was the albums flaw

Yeah Damnation is my least favorite out of their full length albums. Still really like it, but sometimes it bores the hell out of me.

I completely agree. That album had too many gay instrumentals. I usually like Cradle's instrumentals, but they all sounded the same on that album.

Yeah they did. I would have to say though that my favorite Cradle instrumental is definitely "At The Gates of Midian" I just love the feel this whole album has to it.

That's my favorite too. Darkness Our Bride (Jugular Wedding) from The Principle of Evil Made Flesh is a close second though. I don't know why, but that one is just really chilling and I love it lol.
