There's bit too much "swedish metal" in the US...:-)

This is gonna end up somewhere between a 3 and 4 for me. It's definitely very entertaining while it's fresh, but I think it might wear off a little bit, as it does get repetitive.

Darkest Hour are probably one of the most boring live bands I've ever seen

Great album but I still haven't gotten into it like i did Undoing Ruin. Mostly because other musical interests have plagued my cd player. This thread has motivated me to go on a Deliver Us marathon listen.

Anyone saying they want to see these guys live, they are going on tour with August Burns Red and Unearth as the headliner.

Anyways, I think my summary here should have been used in my Job For A Cowboy review...This Message Edited On 08.06.07

Too right man.

Darkest Hour are metalcore with melodic death metal influence. Word.

Job For A Cowboy are death metal.

My two cents.

I wasn't a much trying to label them into genres as I was saying how the Job For A Cowboy thread has 2573070570 posts about genre nonsense while this one has about five total posts about it (YAY!). That's all. So in translation, I can actually read all of the comments I get here without wanting to pop some Advil afterwards.

Initially, it took a bit longer to grow on me due to the foundation that Undoing laid down, and my admiration for it in general, but I find DH to simply be a new beast with Deliver Us. I really look forward to seeing them perform some of the new songs in October.

Meh this album is generic, too polished and uninspired, and just okay.

this is my first exposure to these guys and I thought the album was great. It's been on heavy rotation in my car and I don't know when I'll bother to take it out. Good review
