"I Will" is the only song I find myself skipping. But yeah, every other song is so strong
|

I feel Radiohead is slightly overrated, still pretty good tho.

calling something overrated is overrated. just let the music flow, don't analyze why it's so popular and then try and conclude that it's not as good as everyone says it is.
^^ read that in the least confrontational way too. not meant to offend.

If I had to chose, that song would be the weakest one for me too. But I don't skip it as I can only appreciate albums as a whole. In fact, I rarely listen to single nowadays. Full albums is where it's at.
And I agree there is basically no weak song. Sit Down.Stand Up. and Scatterbrain are amazing.

There are definitely weak tracks, "I Will" being the biggest offender. But We Suck Young Blood, Backdrifts, Scatterbrain, all are substandard Radiohead songs. Still, the highlights on here greatly outweigh the bads, hence the 4.

I must disagree that We Suck Young Blood is substandard in any way. Maybe Scatterbrain is down there, but I Will and Backdrifts are both good in my book.

scatterbrain is definetely up there for me. the only track not to be played obsessively is the gloaming, really.

Where I End and You Begin, along with Myxomatosis and There, There are pretty much some of my favorite Radiohead songs, but ALOT of songs on this just aren't really up to standard. Pretty great album, if only for the standout tracks. 2+2=5 is pretty awesome too.

This might just be my favourite Radiohead album. OK Computer and Kid A are the other two contenders. I think that 2+2=5 is one of the greatest songs ever written full stop. It's obvious why this album doesn't have as many people who like it, the review pretty much explains it. But I can't see how it's just a collection of songs, they aren't consistent necessarily, but they do work together in an album. I think this may have been Radiohead's attempt at doing a Greatest Hits album, seeing as this was their last under a label. But not a crappy greatest hits, a greatest hits full of original songs, although it's still pretty different to anything they've yet released.
