Not even close to their first 2 imo.

Adore is wonderful. Probably my least favorite out of their good albums (their first 4), but that's still saying a lot. "Appels + Oranjes", "Ava Adore", and "Pug" are so great.

It's still a really good record, but could've used a bit more loud guitar type tracks. Hate to be that guy but it would've helped the flow

There's just moments where it feels too downbeat and reserved

Exactly. There's good stuff on here, but it's too samey and drags too much. Not a bad album by any means, but not a fantastic one either imo.
Plus, this is faux-Pumpkins for me. No Chamberlin = no Pumpkins.

Danny, no.
"it's too long, that's the major issue with it"
Yeah, I have to agree there.
This and Gish should have higher averages.

I guess I'm a bit conservative when it comes to this band.
Gish does need more love. This, well, I think gets enough love as it is.

I won't argue with ya foxxxy dude because you're way too cool and you know your shit.
But I wish this band had done more gazey records like their first 3. All in the past ofc.

I'm so dreading those 2 albums coming out in 2015.
Also Danny, I noticed you have Mellon Collie at a 3.5. You need to bump that man.

Ugh, couldn't get into any of this really. The album after this, "Machina-The Machines Of God" is much much better to me.
