haste the day is beating a dead horse with this generic album. their tried and true musical formula is just that tried and tired. if they step up to the plate and release another album at least all our expectations will be so low that it might actually be an improvement over DREAMER. maybe next time boys

i thought this was a pretty solid realease.. there are some much more generic bands out there compared to haste the day. though yes if another album like this eventuates it will be disheartening

Sweet review, this is basically how I feel about this album. I still listen to Pressure the Hinges every now and then. But this is nowhere near close. If anything they went backwards on progression. Still, there's some awesome songs on here. Though those awesome songs are more boring than the awesome songs from other albums. The first three are pretty good, should have spaced them out though. I like An Adult Tree for the atmopsheric style, kinda resembles PTH. The rest of the songs are ok but just average. The best at the end are Sons Of the Fallen Nation, Porcelain, and the re-make of Autumn. That song to me is the best, it's just so like bone chilling. But yeah if they make another album like this, i'll just keep listening to the glory years. (BB and PTH)

I thought this album was pretty sweet, not ground breaking by any means but it does the business. The intro to invoke reform is class also.

Trenches are a poop band imo - would just have been a better situation if Jimmy had been able to stay with HTD

hm trenches sound very interesting, but I think I have to get into that style of music first, is actually pretty different from HTD or other metalcore/posthjardcore, which i am mainly listening to...

yes tbh theres really nothing exceptionally great on here unfortunately, burning bridges seems way more unique to me... or at least better songwriting...

68 is pretty awesome, rest is just generic metalcore. I think Burning Bridges was their "opus", and I doubt they will surpass it.

P.S. My spellcheck corrects "metalcore" to "mediocre", the irony is painful...

pretty sweet album. I wonder if this will be their last album or not considering the members they have lost since this

I think I'm the only one who sees why this album is so different, so I'm going to run through a few qualities and rate them and put why they are different.
The tone is much better, its a much tighter sound, and nothing feels out of place to me (4.5). The overall sound has changed, not all the choruses are so soft and similar. I kind of miss them, but they have more of an aggressive edge now, angry, and unique (4.5). Vocals, I think are much better, but I still think screaming just got old really quick, so I don't like that too much (3.0). Instrumentals - the drums are outstanding on this album, and the guitar has an angrier sound, and the melodies are nice, complex when it can be done, but I just get tired of the same technical riff followed by a slow chorus, breakdown, and NO SOLOS: the essence of metal. The only thing saving this is the drums. (3.5)

Have heard Brennan left and his cleans were some of the finest and the only real thing keeping me interested in this band. Such a shame.

That makes me sad... 68 and Mad Man are still pretty ace songs.
