Dude with that first paragraph it's like you explained my fucking life except it was yours. Good review you have convinced me to check this out.

i too am on the "thought the first paragraph was describing me" bandwagon. Although mostly that's just because i grew up with a Christian Rock radio station in my town, and honestly a lot of the stuff on that station was better than the music on the secular station!

eventually, i discovered how awful radio rock in general is. i hardly ever listen anymore.

i read the first paragraph of this and thought i wrote it. no joke, u basically had the same upbringing and story i had about getting into music...i thoroughly creeped out right now

Me too. Until I was 12 I thought DC Talk's Jesus Freak was the heaviest album ever. I just gave this my first listen, gave me chills.

Yeah, from what I could tell I'm not. But that upbringing is what makes albums like this or mwY that much more potent.

Even tho im an atheist, i really enjoy christian bands..!

Their faith really reflects in their music, and gives a positive vibe.. BUT, im tired of all the preaching inbetween songs at concerts..

Remember we used to speak. Now I'm starting to think, that your voice was really my own, bouncing off the ceiling back to me.

A lot of bands, Christian or not, preach their beliefs live. And it's always annoying. I even, raised a Christian, get very annoyed when Christian bands will do that. But there's a difference between just talking about God and preaching about it.

why cant they express what they believe/their life.

its fine for non christian bands to do it.

Its fine if they express themselves, but, like I was at an Underoath and Spencer went on like a 10 minute preachy rant. It throws the whole atmosphere away.

Meh. This band is alright.

Half of the review seems to talk about how Chan's parents sucked for being music douches and fapping to a Jewish Zombie, but whatevs.

Oh, and I totally hate it when Christian Bands preach in the middle of their concerts. If they should be allowed their dumb preaches, I should be allowed up their to disprove them.

Yah I'm pretty sure they don't preach much, if at all, in concert.

From what I have heard is that they're amazing live, and a few times they came on stage completly plastered.

That seems neat.

Yeah, Empire is catchy is hell.

But I don't think it's a 4.5, much less a 5

Nah dude this is one of the two records that changed my life, it has too much personal significance to rate it any lower.

Plus Timothy is definatly in the top 5 for best songs ever made imo.

well don't listen to them then if it irks you so much.

why shouldnt they be allowed to preach, its their show, its their music and their lifestyle influences both.

really, I dont think its not much different to a band explaining what their songs are about.

Sure, lemme just go outside and plug my ears.

Fuck that.

I also paid to go to the concert, I should be able to hassle if I want.

It's no different?

Well one guy is saying, "This song is about Alienation!"

and the other is, "I just want to say that Jesus loves you all, and that he laid on the cross just for you so he could forgive you of your sins, and gays shouldn't marry because some shitface that never wrote any word of our Deity or what Jesus said wrote so and we believe him because the Bible was written by dumb mortals with inner ear infections, not divine people. Oh, and Evolution totally isn't real and the earth is 6000 years old lawl."

woah, good to see youre not one of those 'holier than thou, im automagically smarter than you atheists'.

you paid to go to the concert more than likely knowing full well what kind of band they are, if you so openly object to the life they lead, dont support them? theres no reason they should have to hide what they believe based on the viewpoint of their 'fans'.
