God they're both so bad
|
| |
Yeah that's a pretty though call.
|
| |
4 weak songs here by my count. Still, will give it 1-2 more spins.
@pissbore: both are quite cheesy, can't decide.
|
| |
Nah, make that 3 weak songs. Might jam this once more to make up my mind.
|
| |
However I think it's safe to say:
SFV > this
However, this and BS are pretty close. And all 3 own RID hard.
|
| |
Album could do without "Evening Star", "Take On the World" and "Evil Fantasies".

'CAUSE YOU'RE THE GREEN MANALISHI WITH THE TWO-PRONGED CROWNNNN
Never heard the original tbh, but the cover slays.
|
| |
This beats SFV for me.
You should check the original danny, it's one if my favourite songs ever. While this version rocks the original is incredibly haunting, especially when you consider what the lyrics are about.

What Jamie said. I also prefer this one over SFV but then again I'm not too fond of their 80s material. Regarding The Green Manalishi, Priest's version is riffier but the original is more real.

SFV kills this hard it's prob best commercial metal album i've ever heard!
|
| |
SFV, like all 80's Priest, lacks something that made 70's Priest special imo. It might be more consistent than this but I much prefer the sound and energy on here.

It's not that their 80s stuff is bad or anything but they sound less organic and more mechanical, to my ears ofc, with the exception of British Steel.
|
| |
I will concede that Binks did far better drumming than either Holland or Travis.
|
| |
Dang, "Delivering the Goods" rules too hard.
|
| |
"Evening Star" just doesn't grow on me.
|
| |
i fuckin love evening star the chorus is just too catchy
|
| |
The Fleetwood Mac cover is probably the best song on here.
|
| |
Am I the only one who thinks the production was a bit lacking on this.
