Certainly sounds fun...

I just can't get over how Adelaide is basically the new Darwin in terms of heat.
EDIT: Oh yeah, Adelaides offical theme song is Ice Cube - Go To Church. If you don't know it, look it up and you'll know why.

Yes, that is all we have.....

That and two shitful AFL clubs

That may have been one of the stupidest things I have read in a long time. Are you seriously comparing Adelaide to Darwin?

Ummmm, yes. We are so much alike in terms of heat. One climate in monsoonal where as the other is facing a drought.

Heat dude, not climate. heat.
|
| |
"Climate encompasses the statistics of temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind, rainfall, atmospheric particle count and numerous other meteorological elements in a given region over long periods of time. Climate can be contrasted to weather, which is the present condition of these same elements over periods up to two weeks."-wiki
How exactly does climate not relate to heat? Yes, it says weather. Have you seen how places in and around Darwin are flooded where as Adelaide is facing heatwaves/droughts? NOTHING THE SAME.

Adelaide is like Perth in terms of heat. Darwin is just so much worse in terms of humidity. It's better to have a dry, hot day then a sticky, humid one.

Heat means hot, last time I looked. Adelaide is fucking hot. Darwin is fucking hot. Case closed. Climate is irrelevant to my statement. There is no reference to heat in that wiki quote.

Darwin isn't particularly hot. If you look at the forecast of it every day it's around the 30's all the way through the year. That may seem pretty comfortable compared to Adelaide... but it ain't. As I said, Darwin is just sticky and sweaty weather every day of the year.

To make my point more clear, it's like the top of Australia has reversed heatwise with the bottom of Australia in the last 2 years. Melbourne and Adelaide have had insane days of 45 degree weather. 2 Years ago that was more like Darwin and Cairns.

'Adelaide - The city of churches'
You'd be surprised that Adelaide doesn't have that many churches. It has one relatively small cathedral and probably a smaller ratio of churches compared to let's say... Sydney.

I don't see how that's possible unless you are refering to climate change. Darwin has always been in the tropics. It's 12 degrees South of the Equator whereas Adelaide is 39. That means that Darwin being much more closer to the equator will always be tropical unless climate change takes effect.

Yep, we have more restaurants/bars/eating places per people than anywhere else in Australia. But we do have a lot churches too. We have a the most expensive synagogue (spelling?) in the Southern Hemisphere and such.
