Best Soilwork album is Chainheart Machine.
This is probably my second favorite though.

A Predator's Portrait used to be my favorite by a landslide, but for some reason it randomly started growing off me. The only songs I really love on that album still are Bastard Chain, Needlefeast, and Shadowchild.
But i haven't listened to it since like 2008 so maybe i should give it another listen.

You reckon? I call bullshit on that. Have you even heard Figure Number Five or Natural Born Chaos?
A little late for this but I do reckon. I also love those records too.

^ yes i heard songs from those album but never won me over... the songs on this album seem more focused and the production is mint! those two album you mentioned are ment to be classic soilwork, i know... i guess you gotta be a hardcore fan to appreciate the others but for me its this album and sworn to a great divide.

This album is really good. While pretty much every other Soilwork album (besides Chainheart Machine which still rules) grew off of me over the years this one got more enjoyable. Quality stuff.

It's easily their best album.

I'm tempted to say Chainheart Machine is a little better but these two are easily the best.

Strange that one of the best mainstreamish metal albums would come from sweeden.

I have to say that I like this the most, because there's something unique about every song. It's very easy to listen to the entire record, which I can't really say about their other work.

Songs like the title track or Nerve kill this album. Shit.

Dude, those songs have some of the most headbang-able sections in the entire album.
