Two songs by these guys are associated with SpongeBob: Ocean Man, which was used in the first movie and originally came from this album (appropriately enough), and a track called Loop de Loop was put into one of the show's earlier episodes. The latter song was created exclusively for that, I reckon.

Yeah, it was created for the "Your Shoes Untied" episode.
Also a reference to the song "Mollusk" was said in that episode where Spongebob goes into his friends' dreams when he tells Gary "mind your wandering eye you little mollusk!"

IMO, La Cucaracha is the duo's weakest record. Aside from a couple solid tunes, it essentially struck me as underwhelming by Ween standards. Sorry, Ars.

I can't agree there. I always heard Cucaracha was bad, but once I heard it I was pleasantly surprised. The Spirit Walker-Lulluby part is kind of meh, but I really like the rest.
Worst studio Ween is White Pepper for sure.

I don't remember much of White Pepper, to be quite honest. Maybe I'll revisit soon...
But back on the topic of Cucaracha, I do think Friends is one of the highlights off that.

Friends really can't be a highlight in my opinion, just for the sheer fact that Friends EP version is SOOO much better and way funnier.
Blue Balloon, Learnin' to Love, Woman and Man, and Your Party are my faves on there. Oh and With My Own Bare Hands and The Fruit Man are ace too.
I love how The Fruit Man is really just an allegory for the Global Economy.

I just checked your ratings and it seems The Friends EP and Shinola are the only major Ween releases you haven't checked yet. Damn dude nice.
You should check those though, especially The Friends EP if you like Cucaracha's version of Friends.
