This album is growing on me, I at first didn't see this to have the lasting appeal that Empire did, but I've changed my mind. This is really damn good.

Saw them live last night, it was actually quite impressive.

Gave this a good full listen today. First reaction is I agree with the review about it being wholly consistent yet unremarkable. Empire had some sweet riffs or they just flowed a lot better. I only a few things stood out. Maybe it's a grower but it sure didn't grab me like Empire did.

Stick with it. The album is pretty samey, but for what ever reason, I found myself coming back.

Yeah I'm gonna give it three or four more listens at least. Right now I'm thinkin I'll end up at a 3 (I'd hate to give it a 2.5) with this. There just wasn't any particular track I wanted to hear again which was disappointing. Sucks cause I really liked Empire

This album is a f!@#$% BEAST!!! The only reason why I didn't give this a 5 is because I feel that the vocalist can't do his high screams as good as before. The high screams from Empire were vicious, ruthless, and full of emotion. There are also times that I think he's pushing it too hard sometimes in this album. But the lows are still brutal. The guitars have also improved. Overall excellent album!!
