"There's honestly not that much autotune on this, and when it is used, it is very tasteful."

He's used autotune quite a lot in the past as well, though, so it isn't quite a surprise, and it's used expertly on Creeks, which is a definite highlight. Love how it references Fall Creek Boys Choir. The album really does seem to draw on quite a few different points in his career - I think I wrote this on another thread, but as the album progresses and things are stripped back, a lot of the songs towards the end of the album recall pre-Bon Iver Justin Vernon.

I was gonna mention this. Got a few self record vibes.

123. agree with that. gonna need a lot more time to digest this one, but still, parts of me think hes trying a BIT too hard with some of the stuff on here. but then, at other times, the vernon genius is front and center.

Yes, for sure, I was thinking of Self Record, too. And speaking of Creeks, lyric video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_Fx1yq3A8M&feature=youtu.be

Yeah, so, the benefit of this albums on comparison to other great albums released this year (Blackstar, AMSP, Total Depravity, Skeleton Tree) is that it's also FUN!!

You have sports and the like for when you want to have fun. Music is for when you want to have sad.

I actually agree with that statement wholeheartedly)) But it doesn't contradict what I said either. Sad can be fun. I find 22, A Million to be very melancholic and sad. But it's also fun, get it?

I like Death Breast, Strafford Apartments, 666, Circle, and A Million the most, but the whole damn thing is amazing tbh.
