glad you dig this so much but sorry snide buddy, I'm not seeing what you're seeing here; sub par vocals, clumsy and immature lyrics, boring song structures and melodies ... like its not getting anything right other than being somewhat catchy some of the time

I'm writing a full review for this that's gonna be 1000+ words, but I'll give you a brief summary on why I feel it's fantastic.
- Best vocal hooks I've heard in almost a decade
- Perfect mixing, mastering and production from the guitar tone all the way down to the variations in the synth lines
- Vastly improved and competent songwriting
- Vocally impressive with a lack of screams / rapping
- Instrumentation has vastly improved and isn't just breakdowns, pop punky riffs, and sweep solos like previous FIR albums. (Not saying there's anything wrong with that, I'm just saying that this is a massive step up in terms of variation and organization)
- New guitarist is better than Jacky Vincent
- Lyrics are funny, at times witty, and show off the best sides of Ronnie's sarcastic nature

yep
hell songs and canada songs kicks MAJOR ASS. s/t is a borderline tragedy

"New guitarist is better than Jacky Vincent"
Boi, Jacky may have only been a sweep machine, but he was a precise sweep machine. He could write decent riffs as well. This guy is not in any way better than Jacky

Solos like the one on "Straight to Hell" are better than pretty much most of the solos throughout the rest of FIR's discog. Jacky may be precise, but this new guitarist is also a lot more varied and daring in terms of songwriting.

Last two songs are probably the best part. Apparently the closer rips off a Silversun Pickups track, though.
As for the songs with really bad lyrics, not even their delivery can save them; at least that completely retarded track about good girls from the debut had him use a comical tone instead of showing his complete lack of self-awareness like the "hater" stuff here, and the hook was better.

"I Hate Everyone" makes me feel like I'm in 2003 and every single one of you may hate that, but I'm more than okay with that tbh. Lyrics are great.

"snide I can't even"
I mean I just explained why this is a 5/5 tbh, my review will go into greater detail though.

that is just untrue and there is absolutely nothing you can say to prove otherwise

Jacky's solos in Self-Destruct Personality and Keep Holding On are much better than Straight to Hell
