thanks bud
i'm convinced extended hiatus is the likely reality we're living in. joey stopped posting solo vids when covid hit which were linked to distortion ltd and they havent posted anything since so i imagine they went down
i know tim had to relearn guitar after surviving a suicide attempt (thank god, dude DID end up posting a riff and he was killing it, glad he's okay)
and rob got married
i'm not a stalker i swear.

it sucks the fate they had. too cool for regular pop punk and not heavy enough for their blue swan contemporaries. more success would've definitely made it easier for them to stay afloat.
all i want is them to confirm that another album will happen some day. or even that they're moving onto different projects. the latter would still crush me but i'd happily follow whatever ventures they set out for

saw these guys live at a very tiny bar venue in chicago a few years back and they performed stellar. Bummer to hear about Tim, hope he is doing well.
|
| |
God damn man I didn't know about Tim's suicide attempt, that's tragic and I hope he's able to get to a place that allows for him to write and perform and tour again.
Then of course covid fucked with all bands and these guys had to probably focus on family and their careers over another ITO album.
Really hope they can continue to project because it means a lot to a very dedicated base!

here I am thinking Rearm Circuits is like 3 years old but I guess the pandemic accelerated time. 5 years!

i remember blazing out of my class as soon as i found they were live streaming it on wednesday.
Ghosts of Former Lives and Hidalgo's blew my fucking mind right away.

man those are great tracks
I miss grabbing a new album of theirs and taking a wild ride on the melodies that permeate absolutely everything. There's an earnest nature and passion I don't see often in anything else in the Swancore sphere, and these guys don't make me cringe like a lot of their contemporaries. I miss them so dang much.

probs the least "core" of the swancore and easily the best!!! what does that say?!?!?!

Album Rating: 4.5
there's plenty of swancore stuff that is both very core and very good (A Lot Like Birds' No Place is probably the pinnacle of the genre)

It's crazy how they can just come in and pump out so much good material within a few years and then just bounce without saying anything at all, like at least release a statement or something

Album Rating: 5.0
As GreyShadow has said above, the band ran into a lot of circumstances that really rocked the boat. That, and also the fact that they never really got big enough to attain popularity or a large enough fanbase to reliably make a living on.

Yeah I read that, like I said it's crazy they never released a statement or anything

That's true. I don't know if maybe they'd just prefer to disappear and move on or they're just quietly getting back together.
I certainly hope for the latter!
