Do these tracks all end with some preachy black lives matter shit like in Manilla and Quotations? Was enjoying a few of these tunes and then out of nowhere it's like "okay now we're gonna have a speech for the last 3 minutes of the song. Enjoy"

if you're annoyed at "preachy black lives matter shit" i'm gonna go ahead and say this isn't for you

Thanks for the heads up. Not that I'm not sympathetic to those who suffer racism, I'd just rather not have awesome jams consistently ruined by overlong dialogues about race struggles. If it's integrated into the lyrics then so be it, but the spoken word sermon-esque rants aren't something I care for in my rap

Finally got this. I likes it.
"This long album shit annoys me too tbh. Was this even released on two discs?"
I bought a physical copy and yes it is two discs.

You too, bud. Haven't crossed paths on here with you in a while. Feels good.
I like how he broke this up. The first disc is pretty much just him, and the second disc has all the features and those little interludes he seems to like to throw in.

yeah with a three minute violin solo smack bang in the middle of the half that's otherwise just him, still one of my favourite moments on this. it has been a minute, I hope life's good

Doing pre good. Hope the same for you.
If anything, I am just glad he bounced back from Light. It's almost a shame that little splotch is tucked between this and Tetsuo.

the violin solo is annoying tbh

Just listened to Quotations again. I dunno, I don't mind the spoken parts since it is integrated into and throughout the song. I do agree that those added speech moments at the beginning/end of tracks in rap (and music in general, really) can kind of ruin a song. I bought the album to listen to music, you know? Use the song to voice your opinions.
I have a tendency to use Audacity and just cut those type of tracks down to when the actual song ends if they are too long.

Quotations is definitely a bit "we get it dude the point was been well made", in contrast to say Manilla where I think the spoken word is pretty essential to the concept and couldn't really be worked into a rap
the violin solo is annoying tbh
disagree, it's gorgeous

Yeah, Manilla's part is pretty brief, especially compared to Quotations.

While I enjoy this, this really does not at all need to be over 2hrs

I wondered if the length of this had anything to do when he planned on putting out multiple albums in 2016 and then nothing happened except for Drogas Light in 2017 with little fanfare.
Maybe he had a bunch of gems on the back burner and just couldn't say no to the little guys so he made one big album instead.

this is a lil preachy for my liking, and yeah idk why it's so long. this could be 2 separate albums tbh.

yeah I think label fuckwittery and the fact that he was recording this from like 2013 are contributors. he saved all his best songs for when he was out of the Atlantic contract

My brain farted there. I mean't to say it doesn't need to be pushing close to 2hrs
