Hard 3 seems right to me. UFOF was a one-off, I think. Wasn't rly taken with her solo material either

thats my feeling too, although they have good songs scattered throughout. UFOF they moved away from "RIYL 2010s indie rock" (?) to something very unique. I like that we're all sort of in awe of it a year later

Yeah UFOF is lightning in a bottle. All of their other stuff to me sounds like the typical indie rock shtick. Thought after doing a discog run that I'd appreciate UFOF less as a result but it still stands up as a near masterpiece all these plays later

this site overrates the fuck out of UFOF

I'd agree that this doesn't come close but their debut does and Capacity beats it

most of their shit is the most milquetoast indie ever lol

perfectly understandable why UFOF is seen as head-and-shoulders above anything else theyve done

UFOF is so casually otherworldly. Like that chorus bit from Open Desert, white light from the living room leaking through the crack in the door, it's forest folky on the face of it, but like at twilight when everything starts to look just a little more strange. It's such a tonal tightrope, and that record walks it the whole way through like it's nothing

Definitely in the “UFOF is head and shoulders above other Big Thief/Lenker material” but it’s all pretty good 3-3.5-core at least.

Album is approaching 4.5 material for me, great stuff. Crazy that the band released two albums this good in a year

It's hit 4.5 for me. Purchased this on vinyl over the pandemic, and it's been an absolute mainstay, along with UFOF and songs.

This is nearly a 4 for me, even if it's not particularly original, there's something about the atmosphere and general aesthetic that I can't put my finger on that I'm kind of in love with

What is this production? It's awful, I love it.

I really hope Little Things isn't going to be on their next album, cause I am not gonna refrain from listening to it at least a few times a day.
