"Hot and Heavy" sounds weirdly like a Sam's Town b-side

Doesn't hold Little Oblivions' jock, either

Lol no Gyro is not

"Starbucks indie" is a lazy critique and doesn't even make sense

Only song I don't like here is Thumbs, I think. Album does oscillate weirdly between indie-pop and sad little ballads, but Christine, Cartwheel and the final run of five are all great (wish I liked her lyrics more, but it's not like her contemporaries are particularly great at them either).

Yeah if anything the lyrics are all a bit too matter of fact here when a couple singles off 2019 like forever half mast showed capability of things deeper and greater

I get it, I think. It's just too little for me. If I liked the lyrics, I could see it hitting real hard.

I really like her lyrical style here, Thumbs is one of the only tracks I haven't quite "gotten" yet though

The lyrics play a big part for me yeah. This is the first album by her that actually got me to pay attention to wtf she is saying. Her previous records just didnt do it for me but im lovin this quite a lot

I guarantee you will hear thumbs stirring a dramatic scene of a major motion picture or television show in the coming year.
