I'd say Papa Roach or Limp Bizkit had worse lyrics. I should slay Awesomesauce for rating this a two and rating Linkin Park as the worst lyricists of 2000.
Then again lyrics are overrated. Give me a little bro-core and i'm set for life.

This. It doesn't appeal to me anymore that much though. The album is a bit too....simplistic to me on the instrumental part. Still some cathcy and great song on this.

Nu Metal isn't exactly revered for its awesomesauce instrumentation, but the songs are damned catchy.

yaah I know that, but this album is instrumentally simplistic even in the nu metal genre. The songs are damn catchy though.

It is simplicity used to its fullest potential.

This band was cool back in the day....but they do deserve a lot of credit for being a "gateway" band for heavier music. I mean, they definitely got me into a lot better stuff.

^ So true, also this album still rules.

I got into this band long time after the bandwagon (2007) and quickly grew out of it. Godsmack was the band to get me into heavier stuff, alongside with Rage Against the Machine and Sum 41 (Chuck will always be an awesome album).

I didn't give enough credit to this album. It's fun.

This. I was listening to hard rock and a bit of metal before I heard Hybrid Theory, but it definitely brought a lot of my friends around to heavier music too. Sad thing is I'm the only one my age who still likes it
