They sounded so similar to this, I'm happy someone else picked up on it! Need to revisit that album but to was pretty good.

Emo/screamo release from this year, has some post-rock influence from this album. Also takes similar cues in its instrumentals, tones, etc.

Man I used to think turning 22 would make this hit hard.

I turn 25 this year. It's been 3 years already...

Not old, but man do I feel the time slipping.

I don't intend to concern you further, but time certainly feels like it accelerates as you age. My first 25 years on this planet felt like 50, the last 10 has felt more like 5, lol

Having said that my perceived progression of time is far from linear - even now, despite the unwavering constancy of reality

Yeah, it probably has a lot to do with how routine we eventually become. You settle down, have a job that eats up most of your time, everyone else is similarly bogged down by work and busy, and so on and so on. Definitely feels weird, and occasionally scary.

Yeah it's probably no coincidence that I have been working at the same place for over 9 years now and been with my wife for 11. 'Settled down' and all that. Works almost perfectly with the timeline above. i.e. when things shifted.

It won't be the same for everyone, but stability is more likely once you get passed your teen years / early 20s I guess. Also, maybe the longer you've been alive the less significant one year seems, as it's a smaller overall % of your existence so far? I don't know.

Ah well, I've never valued my birthdays much honestly. Just another year in the life, what does it matter, y'know?
