lol it's pretty well-written. Too bad criticizing the Beatles well you get you neg's by default. It's like criticizing any band, really. The fanboys just come out and give you a plethora of neg's. The only difference is the elitist majority fanboys (including staff) ARE the fanboys, so you can't get the neg's taken away. Bummer.

e-fucking-xactly my point that it's retarded logic. That logic, in essence, is saying that the invention of the wheel was great at the time, now it's lost much of it's greatness.
SORRY BUT THE ORIGINAL WHEEL STILL RULES YOUR LIFE
----
Yeah, but if you're comparing the inventions in themselves (if we go with this metaphor that the Beatles are the wheel and *insert band here* are the car), the car seems more impressive.
The guy's point was that when you're comparing the music in itself, influence and time notwithstanding, the Beatles do seem simplistic. He's right, of course, that it's not as technical as some modern music, nor does it have as good lyrics.
And so his point is, had a band (not the Beatles) right now released Revolver, it would probably not be getting 5s across the board.
If you want to score it based on its influence and the fact that it was in the 60s, by all means do so. But why does he need to conform to your taste?
By giving a three, he seems to imply that he can find several albums he'd rather listen to instead of this. What's so wrong about that?

Art is art, I don't see the point comparing it to technological changes. Beethoven and Mozart wrote music over 200 years ago, does that mean they are now irrelevant? No.
Maybe I'm safe giving an opinion here, I'm not sure some of the Sputnik idiots will come on this thread.
And if someone doesn't like The Beatles then so be it, why I should I care? I don't get abusive to people who don't like music I like, they can enjoy whatever entertainment they want. It won't however change my opinion on The Beatles who I think are probably the best ever pop/rock group.
